Alternatives to SVN Subversion for xCode Development

Do you need SVN or is there another way to manage code? We use and manage an SVN server dedicated to our xCode development, but mostly because we can, not because we need to. We have the servers, knowledge and experience to do this so we did. [gard] As newly anointed Xcode developers, and now with the release of Xcode 4. We found our team working on trying to get connected to a new subversion (svn) server at the same time we were trying to discover some new features of Xcode 4. Talk about challenging.
